As with most inventions,The Log Roller was born out of necessity. We cut our own firewood, and like you, feel more comfortable when we have a supply of firewood available for winter emergencies accompanied by a loss of electrical power. Since we have no heavy equipment to move the whole tree trunk or large limbs, where we cut white oak and hickory necessitates cutting these larger pieces into dimensioned firelogs and moving them by hand.
