For 30 years I worked as a professional gardener from Longwood Gardens, the Biltmore Estate to North Carolina State University where I worked as Grounds Superintendent. From there I moved on to my own grounds maintenance business. Now I make and sell Longnecker® Garden Tools, because when I made the trowel for my commercial grounds crew, people watching us would try to buy them from us while we worked.
